Design And Build Quality

Mast archer is made using an aluminum alloy frame, a very lightweight material. Not only lightweight but also very durable and stable. When it comes to this machine, it is remarkably lightweight, weighing only 186g. This makes it lighter than other top class wireless tattoo machines like the Ambition Soldier and Ninja.

Mast archer measures only 132mm long and 32mm in diameter. This compact size ensures a well-balanced and lightweight feel when held, providing a comfortable grip. Consequently, tattoo artists can effortlessly use it longer tattoo sessions without straining their wrists or hands.

Also, unlike other tattoo machines, it does not balance toward the back of the device. This feature enhances the overall comfort and usability, making it equally great for both beginners and experienced tattoo artists.

Like most products of Dragonhawk brand, the Mast Archer has a custom coreless motor. And in the running, this motor provides consistent and reliable performance without overheating. Moreover, the Mast Archer offers complete customization regarding speed and voltage adjustment. For example, at 10 volts, it provides a speed of 8750 RPM, while at 12 volts, it can reach 10500 RPM. Also, it allows voltage adjustment within 5 to 12 volts.

Moreover, unlike the Mast Launcher, the Mast Archer has a fixed battery, meaning you cannot use a backup battery once the internal one runs out of charge.

Nevertheless, it does come with a fast-charging USB cable capable of fully recharging the battery within 2 hours. Furthermore, the Mast Archer features an LCD that serves a similar purpose, showing voltage and other information. However, I found the display quality is good, which makes it easy to read the information correctly.

 Mast Archer Pen comes with a 3.5mm stroke length that is a perfect medium stroke to do a bit of everything. In terms of tattooing operations, Mast Archer is a versatile tattoo machine capable of doing any tattooing work.This means you can use it for various tattoo techniques and styles.  Mainly, this machine is well-suited for color blending and color packing. Even with this pen, I was able to draw perfect lines with small-need grouping. 

Mast Archer has 3.5mm stroke struggles with having double or three lines.  But, I don’t like the way needle protrusion works. For example, unlike other tattoo machines, when I twist it, there is an insert rather than the grip moving up and down. Moreover, it does not allow adjusting needle depth by wrapping.  However, if you want to buy specific tattoo machines for lining work you can go with Mast Tattoo Flip Pro and Ambition Flamingo.

Price

 When it comes to price, both the Mast Launcher and the Archer are in the same range. They are available for around $199, slightly more expensive than their top competitors, like the Ambition Soldier Rotary tattoo machine. Moreover, the Ambition Ninja, which offers a 4.00mm stroke, is priced at around $199. However, the Mast Archer remains an excellent choice for budget-conscious artists.

The design and build quality of the Archer appear very solid, and it also feels lightweight during longer tattooing sessions. Unlike the Mast Launcher, it features a comfortable grip for steady handling.
